'Crossover Drums' takes up the principle of combining multiple styles by mixing rock, fusion music and jazz. Based on a rondo movement, it consists of parts for both improvisation and notated passages. The sections are called: Marching Intro - Groove 1 - Riff 1 - Changes - Groove 2 - Riff 2 - Solo - Groove 3 - Interplay - Riff 3 - Canon - Riff 4. The score is only notated in the most important sections and for orientation only. The parts, however, fully reflect the music material. This is a very effective piece giving everyone the chance to develop his abilities to the full while at the same time it is fun when played in an ensemble.
